Connecting with LEISD: Supporting Teachers and Students at the Convocation and Back to School Bash
This week has been full of incredible moments of connection, service, and blessing! On Tuesday, several of our staff and deacons had the privilege of attending the LEISD Teacher Convocation Service, where we had the chance to meet new teachers and staff and reconnect with returning ones. It was an exciting opportunity to show our appreciation for all they do to invest in the lives of students. To say thank you, we handed out pens, multi-tools, and other fun goodies;…

Filling Up The Food Bank
CrossRidge Church’s Dollar Day Supports the Little Elm Food Bank in January In January 2025, CrossRidge Church, once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the local community through its Dollar Day initiative. On the first Sunday of each month, we encourage everyone to give just one dollar, and over time, these small contributions have had a significant and lasting impact on the lives of those in need. For the month of January, we raised an impressive $1,265, all of which…
2024 Chili Cook-Off: A Cook-Off to Remember (and Digest)
What happens when you gather over 150 people in one place, throw in more than 30 pots of chili, and sprinkle a dash of competitive spirit? You get the annual CrossRidge Church Chili Cook-Off – equal parts culinary masterpiece and culinary madness. This year’s event was a spicy success, with every variety of chili imaginable: traditional, experimental, and downright questionable. We had our first-timers bringing in recipes passed down from generations (or maybe Googled that morning), and we had the…
Blessing Lakeside Manor: Dollar Day Success!
This month, our Dollar Day initiative was dedicated to blessing the residents of Lakeside Manor, a senior living community that caters to individuals aged 62 and above. It was a heartwarming event filled with joy, connection, and appreciation for the educators and staff who pour so much into the lives of our students each day. Our team was honored to be a part of this special moment by giving out thoughtful gifts as small tokens of our gratitude. Multi-tools, chip…

From appetizers, to soups, entrees, desserts and more, we had almost 100 recipes shared between the group. A huge thank you goes out to Amy Smith and all of her work in leading the evening and helping make it a huge success.…
Spicy Showdown: Annual Chili Cook-Off Success
So far, October may feel more like July, but that didn’t stop us from getting into the fall spirit with what is arguably the season’s best food. Onions, chili powder, cumin, (beans?), juicy ground chuck! That’s right. Last weekend was the annual Chili Cook-off here at Crossridge, and those who competed certainly brought the heat. The smack talk surrounding the contest was as spicy as some of the pots of chili. Though, since Pastor John Wolfe recused himself from competing,…
Delivering Slices of Love for LEISD
September Dollar Days was a special one! We love getting to bless the teachers and all those who pour so much into the lives of the kids in our town. This month, we showed our appreciation for teachers, administrators, and other staff for Little Elm ISD by bringing lunch to all the local schools, administration buildings, and even local charter school North Texas Collegiate Academy. The numbers we delivered this month were BIG. A total giving of $1,812, 293 pizzas,…
Serving Those Who Protect and Serve Us
One of our favorite ways to shine the light of Jesus to our community is through our Dollar Days ministry. This August, the spotlight was on our local police departments in Little Elm and Oak Point—the everyday heroes who ensure our safety. Breaking previous records, the August Dollar Days initiative raised over $1800! This generous amount, collected on the first Sunday of August, allowed us to truly bless the 89 sworn police officers and nine support staff of Little Elm…
Back to School Supplies
Because of your gifts to Dollar Days and donations throughout July, we delivered 60 packed backpacks to Little Elm ISD. That’s a ton of backpacks. Okay, maybe not a literal ton, but it was enough backpacks to fill the bed of a truck and then some. Money from Dollar Days paid for the backpacks, while donations from church members were used to fill each one. Volunteers came up the night before the delivery to pack all the backpacks. They packed…

Ocean Waters, Fried Chicken, and NY Pizza
At Crossridge Church, we’re serious about loving and serving our community, and our monthly Dollar Days ministry is the perfect opportunity to walk this out. For the April Dollar Days event, we raised $1,106 to bless our neighbors here in Little Elm. We wanted these funds to make a tangible impact in people’s lives, so we used the money to pay for lunches at three local restaurants: Sonic, KFC, and Joe’s Pizza. We gave the store managers the freedom to…
Baskets to Baskets
March Dollar Days at LEFD For Dollar Days this month, we filled baskets with dollars at the church and in turn filled much larger baskets with food and kitchen supplies to stock the pantries for all shifts at the three Little Elm fire stations. This was the eleventh time we’ve blessed the LEFD, and each time they express their heartfelt gratitude for the gifts and for the banners and notes from our children’s ministry. We’re blessed to bless our firefighters,…

Individuals and Life Teams donated baskets for the raffle, which contained gift cards, summer fun, date night and game night items, photo sessions, nerf guns, candy, popcorn, and so much…
Salsa Sunday Success
We see your Taco Tuesday and raise you a Salsa Sunday. If we learned anything on February 5, we learned that people at CrossRidge are serious about salsa. The first annual Salsa Sunday was nearly full to bursting with more than 250 people dining and fellowshipping in our Kids Church…
Living Differently in 2023 and Beyond
We are in the “New Year Resolutions” season, and according to Webster’s Dictionary, a new year resolution is a promise to do something DIFFERENT in the new year. Every year, many US citizens set out to live differently by committing to improve their life circumstances to achieve happiness. Their resolutions focus on improving health and fitness circumstances, financial circumstances, career circumstances, traveling circumstances, and for some, their addiction circumstances. Though the focuses are all different, they each have something in…
Giving Gifts And Connecting Families
Over the past several years, we have partnered with Prison Fellowship Angel Tree for Dollar Days during December. The money we receive from Dollar Days buys gifts for children of incarcerated parents in our community. With help from CrossRidge members, gifts are bought, wrapped, and delivered. Each gift is marked with the child’s name and includes a note from their parent. Deliveries are scheduled, and volunteers hand deliver the gifts to the families. As much as the children receive a…
Lakeside Manor Thanksgiving
It is common to spend time and reflect on what we have to be thankful for during Thanksgiving. But it is also a great time to give back. For several years, a group from CrossRidge has been helping out in the community by serving food for Thanksgiving to seniors in our community. This year, Al Gaines, Connections Minister, and Zandi McCarroll of CrossRidge Church took the lead in providing and serving food to the residents at Lakeside Manor on November…

We fed students, parents, staff, passer-bys and even some of the opposing team. A fun night was had by all. Our own Coby McCormick was on live feed on the Little Elm ISD Facebook site. In case you missed it here it is. Thank you to all of…
