A Stellar Week

What a spectacular and stellar week of Vacation Bible School we had. There were countless hours of preparation that went into this event. There were too many memories and new friendships made to even count. Many hours of sleep were lost. Heaps and piles of food was donated to the Little Elm Food Bank and endless snacks were devoured throughout the week. There were also over 2000 water balloons used during recreation time. There were 17 crews of kids going…

Build His Kingdom

On Father’s Day we celebrated Baby/Parent Dedication. By we, I mean everyone had a reason to celebrate. It’s easy to think that just the families involved in the dedication of their children would be celebrating, but this is an opportunity for our entire church family to lift up shouts of joy as we get to join our families in the raising of their children God’s way. We get to walk alongside the parents giving encouragement and support. We get to…

A Masterpiece Evening

Thanks to all who attended our first Pizza and Painting Party for CrossRidge women’s ministry! Seventy-six women gathered on June 10 for an exciting evening of artistic expression, fellowship, and, of course, pizza. Upon arrival, we were greeted with tables full of colorful art supplies and blank journals, ready to be transformed into personal works of art. After dining on delicious pizza and chatting with friends, we each embarked on an artistic journey. Amy Smith guided the group through each…

Happy Mother’s Day

Last Sunday was Mother’s Day. Some of us are mothers, while others are still longing for that day. Some of us still have our mothers with us, while others will be holding memories close that day. The title of mom is a very important role in the family. It is not an easy job, but it is a rewarding job. There are good days and there are overwhelming days. No matter what kind of day you are having, I want…

Gratitude with a Slice of Garlic Bread

We’re proud to have been able to bless the Little Elm Public Works department with lunch with the Dollar Days giving in the month of May. We are grateful for the opportunity to show appreciation for the hard-working men and women who serve the Town of Little Elm in so many important ways. The Little Elm Public Works Department is responsible for a variety of essential services; these unsung heroes basically keep our town running smoothly! Department divisions include Stormwater…

Lord We Need You

We are almost five months into the year. How are you? How is your family? Are you struggling? Are things going well? No matter what you are going through, you are not alone. No matter what you are facing, God is with you. Psalm 120:1 says, “In my distress I cried unto the Lord, and he heard me.” God wants to hear from you. God wants you to call out to Him. God has plans for you and there is…

Ocean Waters, Fried Chicken, and NY Pizza

At Crossridge Church, we’re serious about loving and serving our community, and our monthly Dollar Days ministry is the perfect opportunity to walk this out. For the April Dollar Days event, we raised $1,106 to bless our neighbors here in Little Elm. We wanted these funds to make a tangible impact in people’s lives, so we used the money to pay for lunches at three local restaurants: Sonic, KFC, and Joe’s Pizza. We gave the store managers the freedom to…

Celebrate Easter Every Day

Easter is always such a wonderful day of celebrating Jesus’ resurrection, and this Easter was no different. The sanctuary was full, and the tomb was still empty. It was so good to be in God’s house with so many of God’s people. What about the Sunday after Easter or all the Sundays of the year? Are you still celebrating Easter? Jesus is still alive and that is worth celebrating every day! Are you living a life that reflects Easter, a…

Jesus Is Alive

Passion Week, a week like no other. A week that started with Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem where the people shouted “Hosanna” and ended with Good Friday where the same people were shouting, “Crucify Him!” There was a temple clearing, a trip to the Mount of Olives, a last supper, feet washing and an unfair trial in between. A week that ended with a crucifixion, a death, and a burial. A week where Jesus chose to lay down His life for…

Holy Week

And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!’” Matthew 21:9 Holy week began with Jesus hearing the crowds cheer and shout Hosanna to him. A few days later he had to endure taunts and jeers of crucify him. Jesus knew how the week would begin as he rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. He…

Up All Night

If you want to see what you’re made of, try staying up all night with teenagers running and playing group games and see how long you last. With our student ministers and our student leaders, Friday night started with check-in and pizza at the church. Then, we loaded up and traveled to Group Dynamix in Carrolton, where we spent the night playing team-based games. With games such as Radioactive Goat’s Tail, Live-Action Pokemon, Sharks and Lifeguards, Glow-in-the-Dark Dodge Ball, and…

Happy Spring

The calendar is telling us that it is Spring time, even if the temperature outside doesn’t match. We know that the warmer temperatures will soon follow and just like previous years, Spring will bring us greener grass and blooming flowers. Yes, with just the right amount of sun and water, we will see new growth all around us. We can also see new growth in ourselves. Yes, with just the right amount of time with God and His word we…

Baskets to Baskets

March Dollar Days at LEFD  For Dollar Days this month, we filled baskets with dollars at the church and in turn filled much larger baskets with food and kitchen supplies to stock the pantries for all shifts at the three Little Elm fire stations.   This was the eleventh time we’ve blessed the LEFD, and each time they express their heartfelt gratitude for the gifts and for the banners and notes from our children’s ministry. We’re blessed to bless our firefighters,…

Team Jesus

It’s time for March Madness! Are you excited? Do you have your favorite basketball team picked? Is your bracket filled out? Sports fans are some of the most dedicated people out there. They sit through football games in the cold and rain. They sit close to the basketball court and scream loudly to throw the opposing team off and cheer excitedly for their team. They countdown to opening day of Spring training in baseball and they go to hockey games…
