If you didn’t make it to this year’s YOUTHSgiving you missed out! Students had an amazing spread of food from turkey, ham, corn casserole, green beans, pies, cinnamon rolls and more. Everybody got as much as they wanted and then some.

The adult leaders did a fantastic job of decorating the room. Tables were dressed with thanksgiving theme items. Plates and utensils sat waiting for students to pull up a chair. Tables stood next to each other in a family style setting and a buffet of food sat at the door ready to be served by some of the finest adults CrossRidge has.
When dinner was over, the students ventured into the room next door where contests sat waiting. Kyle and Coby led games such as a sweet potato race, find the corn, bob for apples, feather aloft and more. Students went head-to-head to try and win so they could choose the ultimate prize. That prize being pieing a minister or student leader in the face.

After several close calls, a whole lot of cheering and some messy and wet clothes, students choose who they wanted to pie in the face: Coby McCormick, Kyle Stone, Diego Silva, Jaden Melton, and George Bewley. We find it strange that no ladies were nominated.
Some of our leaders got more than one pie while some managed to get away with only one. It was great to see so many students come out. Kyle and Coby and their families continue to do an amazing job leading our Student Ministry.
