Show Your Appreciation

Show Your Appreciation

Can you believe that another school year is coming to an end? It seems like this year has gone by so fast. It is the time of the year when everyone shows appreciation for their children’s teachers, also known as Teacher Appreciation Week. School teachers have such an important job educating our children. They are shaping our future. Whether you are homeschooling or sending your child to school in person, one thing this past year has taught us, is the value of teachers. I love the idea of a special time set aside to say thank you.

Your children are also being poured into each Sunday at church. Our volunteers are shaping the future too. 2 Timothy 4:2 says, “Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage with great patience and teaching.” Your children’s Sunday morning teachers come ready each week to teach your children about Jesus. They come in and out of season to share God’s word with them. They show up to encourage and love on our kids each week. What our volunteers are teaching our children each week is truly life changing.

As you are out and about this week thinking of ways to show appreciation to the school teachers, take time to remember the ones that teach them on Sundays and Wednesdays. Encourage your children to write a note or draw a picture for their Sunday morning teachers. Pick up a small token of appreciation to give to them. Most importantly, pray for the ones that teach your little ones at church. Our volunteers at CrossRidge Church see it as a privilege to grow God’s Kingdom, one child at a time. Thank you for trusting us with your precious little ones.
