Plant The Seeds Of Faith

Plant The Seeds Of Faith

He is not here. For he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”

Matthew 28:6

The tomb was empty! He is risen! Happy Easter friends. What does Easter look like in your home? It is so easy to get wrapped up in the fun parts of Easter when you have preschoolers in the house, but Easter is the perfect time to plant seeds of faith in your little ones.  1 Corinthians 3:6-8 says, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.  So, then, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.” What a privilege and a responsibility we have to plant those seeds.

Will your preschooler quote scripture all of a sudden? Not likely. Will your preschooler perfectly pronounce all of the names in the Bible? No. Will your preschooler memorize all the books of the Bible? Probably not. Will seeds be planted? Yes! Will you be laying a foundation of faith? You certainly will. Will the time spent doing all of this be worth it? Absolutely.

There are brightly colored eggs, bunny rabbits and new Easter outfits that can briefly catch the attention of a preschooler, but let there be the word of God spoken in their ears that can be forever embedded in their hearts. Let the name of Jesus be heard over and over and over again. Let them know that He died and rose again for preschoolers as well as adults. Teach them how much Jesus loves them. Bring them to church so we can walk alongside of you planting those seeds. Bring them to church so they can learn about Jesus with their friends. Bring them to church so we can love on them too.

I look forward to seeing you on Easter Sunday. Register for one of our three services at I look forward to celebrating our risen Savior with your preschooler. I look forward to the opportunity to plant more seeds in your preschooler. I am humbled at what God allows us to do.

He is risen! He is risen indeed!
