Now a man from the family of Levi married a Levite woman. The woman became pregnant and gave birth to a son; when she saw that he was beautiful, she hid him for three months. But when she could no longer hide him, she got a papyrus basket for him and coated it with asphalt and pitch. She placed the child in it and set it among the reeds by the bank of the Nile. Then his sister stood at a distance in order to see what would happen to him.”
Exodus 2:1-4
We read in the book of Exodus that the mother of Moses, Jochebed, did what she thought she needed to do to keep her child safe. She protected Moses and trusted God with his future. There may not be a threat from Pharoh for our children to be thrown into a river, but there is still an enemy that does not want our children today to know Jesus. 1 Peter 5:8 tells us, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
That same enemy is still prowling around. He still wants to destroy marriages, families and futures. As the Faith Builder in the home, what are you doing for protection? What are you doing to make sure your marriage is not destroyed? How are you protecting your children from the enemy?
Are you trusting God like Jochebed did? Do you have people on the sidelines making sure you are ok? Here at CrossRidge Church, we would love to join you in this. We would love to see you on Sunday mornings and teach your children about Jesus. We would love to have you sit under Biblical teaching in our service each week and we would love to have you join a Life Team. We would love for all of our men to sign up for our Men’s Conference. We would love to have your whole family join us for our Spring semester of discipleship classes starting February 8th. It is time to be alert. It is time to protect our families from the devil. It is time to be biblical. It is time to be relational. It is time to be missional. It is time to be generous. It is time to be confident. It is time to be excited. It is time to do all of this together. We look forward to seeing you!
