Did you hear that sound? That was the sound of this year zooming by! I think I am going to need a nap to keep up with this year. Can you believe that another school year is upon us? The beginning of the school year can be so exciting. There are new routines, new teachers, new friends and so many new things to learn. I am going to share some things that I hope your child learns this year, if they don’t know already.
I hope they learn that Sundays and Wednesdays are for church, days dedicated to be in His house, with His people. We love teaching your kids about Jesus and loving on them.
I hope they learn how to spend time with God daily. Oftentimes, things are caught and not taught. I hope they learn this by seeing their parents spend time with God each day.
I hope they learn how to be kind and how to serve others. There’s always a lonely student that needs a friend.
I hope they learn how much you love them, but that you love your husband even more. This is a hard one, but oh so important for your kids and for your marriage.
I hope they learn about Jesus. I hope they learn how much He loves them, that He died on the cross for them and their need of a relationship with Him.
The world would rather teach them many other things, but Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” I hope they learn how to live a life that pleases God. I hope you let me join you on this journey.
