Gather Together For Worship

Gather Together For Worship

I want to do my part to encourage my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to keep on keeping on, to make the effort to come to worship, and to show their love and good works towards their fellow man.  Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”  I know that COVID-19 is real and can be very dangerous for some.  I also know that God’s word is true in all times and places.  I am so very thankful for the freedom to worship.  I am so very thankful that we can continue to gather together for worship, even with social distancing and masks in place.  I am so very thankful that God very clearly tells us to encourage one another, to promote love and to promote good works.  God also very clearly states that we are not to stay away from our times of worship together, especially with Christ’s return getting closer every day.

Church looks different nowadays.  Children might be moving around a bit or making some noise.  Some may lay in the floor and work on a Sunday School lesson created for them, that they got from the basket as they came in.  We have to register in order to control the numbers and social distance for now.  We encourage masks and strive to elbow bump (rather than shake hands) to help protect our neighbors.  But some things are not different.  God’s people are found in obedience when we gather together to worship His holy name!

Maybe corporate worship is too big of a step for you until more people have gotten the vaccine or the trend in cases begins to go down.  Maybe, Life Teams would be a place for you to be found in obedience to God’s word by gathering together with other believers to encourage one another by being in His word.  Life Teams started back last Sunday and meet on many Sundays from 5-7 pm.  Many even offer a Zoom option for gathering together.  Life Teams even offer free childcare with registration! Please pray about joining us on Sundays, whichever way is best for your situation, to worship, to pray, to be found in obedience, to encourage and love one another, as God’s word instructs.  My church family is my people.  I am better with my people.  They (you) encourage me to love God and love people more.  They (you) encourage me to do good works for the glory of God!  Together, we are better.  I look forward to seeing you all soon, maybe even this Sunday!

If you do not have a Life Team to call your own, email john@crclife.org for more information.  (Or you could even join mine!)
