Filling Up The Food Bank

CrossRidge Church’s Dollar Day Supports the Little Elm Food Bank in January

In January 2025, CrossRidge Church, once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the local community through its Dollar Day initiative. On the first Sunday of each month, we encourage everyone to give just one dollar, and over time, these small contributions have had a significant and lasting impact on the lives of those in need. For the month of January, we raised an impressive $1,265, all of which was donated to the Little Elm Food Bank, continuing a long-standing tradition of support for this vital local service.

Since its inception in 2011, our Dollar Day program has raised substantial funds that have been directed toward various local causes, with the Little Elm Food Bank being a consistent recipient of the church’s generosity. This month’s contribution brings the total amount given to the Food Bank through Dollar Days to $14,903.69, showcasing our ongoing dedication to serving the community.

The Little Elm Food Bank, established in 1984, provides much-needed groceries and food assistance to those in need, helping to ensure that no one in the area has to go without nourishment. The funds raised by Dollar Days allow the Little Elm Food Bank to meet the growing demands of the local population. Food banks often experience fluctuations in donations, and the support of the community is vital in maintaining their operations. Our donation in January helps to restock shelves and ensures that the Food Bank can continue providing for families who are struggling. Every dollar given during Dollar Day is pooled together, making a substantial difference in the lives of those who are facing financial struggles, health crises, or job loss.

Looking ahead, we remain committed to supporting the Little Elm Food Bank and other local organizations through Dollar Days and other outreach efforts. Our involvement with the Food Bank is a testament to the power of community and the importance of coming together to care for one another. The Dollar Day program continues to provide an easy yet impactful way for individuals to contribute to the well-being of their neighbors, and with the support of the congregation, the church will continue to make a positive difference in Little Elm and beyond.

As Dollar Days continues into the new year, CrossRidge Church invites its members to participate in this vital program. Whether through donations or volunteering, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference.
