If you have not had a chance to listen to the sermon from July 12th, run, don’t walk, to listen. If you are like me, then you might even want to listen to it a second time. What fantastic encouragement as we strive to live each day God’s way. Pastor Marc shared a great message that reminds us of our need to pray, love others, serve others and depend on God daily. As the faith builders in your home, these are all things that your preschooler can be included in. How wonderful for them to learn to live God’s way early in life.
1 Peter 4: 8-10 tells us, “Above all, maintain constant love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied grace of God.” This is a perfect scripture for your preschooler to see in action. Let your little one see you as you pray, and include them when possible. Take time to let them write a note or draw a picture to encourage a friend, neighbor or teacher. Make a meal for a family in need and allow their inner chef to come out. Let them learn early to have an open hand, an open heart and an open door. Teach them that every day matters to God. Remind them that we must depend on God today and every day. And be sure they know that God wants to use us, at any age, to tell others about Jesus. As Pastor Marc always says, the end is near, eternity is at stake and people need Jesus.
