What If The Best Is Yet To Come?

What If The Best Is Yet To Come?

A person’s heart plans his way, but the Lord determines his steps.”

Proverbs 16:9

I am guessing that this is not how you thought that 2020 would be going. It has definitely been different than any other year I personally have experienced. There has been so much change and so many things have been cancelled. Some might say that 2020 has just been a bad year, but has it? I have still seen God at work during all of this chaos. I have seen families spending more time together. I have seen kids playing outside more. I have seen husbands and wives grow closer.  I have seen families worshiping at home together. Most importantly, I have seen parents step up as the faith builders in the home. These are all wonderful things, but what if the best is yet to come? The good news is the year is not over. There are still six months left in 2020!  If your year hasn’t gone as you planned, remember that God is not surprised by anything that has happened this year. He tells us in Proverbs 16:9 “A person’s heart plans his way, but the Lord determines his steps.” He is still at work. He is still planning. What does God have planned for you and your family the rest of 2020? The uncertainty of what lies ahead can bring us apprehension, but  fortunately we don’t have to face it alone. We are reminded in 1 Peter 5:7 to “Cast all your cares on him, because he cares about you.” All of this gives me the courage to face the rest of the year in faith, knowing that God has plans for us for 2020.  He wants to use us to share Jesus with others and grow His Kingdom. I want to encourage you to pray and seek how God wants you to love others. Let’s embrace the next six months and see what happens together.

Don’t forget to register for live worship this Sunday. I loved seeing some of my little friends this past Sunday.  Remember to print off the activity pages for your children and the sermon notes for yourself. Bring any pens, pencils and crayons that you may need, since we are a touch-free environment. Please see our website if you need more information. I look forward to worshiping together.
