Here we are in May already. Time for another school year to wind down and end. I clearly remember those last weeks of school when my kids were younger. It doesn’t matter if you have a preschooler, elementary student, middle schooler, or high schooler, this can be a crazy and busy time of year. There are class parties, STAAR testing, award ceremonies, band concerts, graduations, and there are still lunches to be made and clothes to be washed. There are still schedules to keep and bedtime struggles.
There is hope though because summertime is just around the corner. Warmer weather is here. There are popsicles to be eaten, fireworks to be watched, friends to be played with and trips to be taken. While summer may bring changes in plans and schedules, one thing that doesn’t change is your role as faith builder in your home. That role is a year-round job. Luckily, there are opportunities here at CrossRidge Church to help you at this time of year as well. There is Baby/Parent Dedication. There are summer camps. There is Club 56 discipleship. There are youth events. There is Sunday morning worship in person and online curriculum available when you are on vacation. There is even rumor of possibly having VBS! We love walking alongside of you in this journey. We love your kids, and we love you. We are here for you, and we want you to be successful as the faith builder in your home.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says, “These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” God wants you to teach your children His word and He wants you to do that all year long. God wants you to push through and not give up. God wants your children to know Him. We look forward to seeing you and your family at CrossRidge Church this summer!
