Stay On Course

Stay On Course

Here we are a year into this pandemic. Here we are 3 months into this year. Here we are preparing to open our Sunday morning ministries here at CrossRidge Church. Last Sunday George gave a timely message about staying on course. He gave us ways to stay on course by practicing self-control with our mind, body, character and voice. He gave us ways to stay on course by practicing self-discipline with our giving, our growing and our going. How are you doing staying on course?

It can be so easy to get off course. The world has so many distractions each and every day that you can forget what course you are on. Life can get so hectic and busy and seem out of control that it makes you think you don’t have time for the course. There can be so many twists and turns in life that it is hard to even see the course. What are we to do? We read in Acts 20:24, “But I consider my life of no value to myself; my purpose is to finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.” We are to stay on course, that is what we are to do. We are to be different from the world. We are to keep our eyes on God and make Him our priority. We are to pray and spend time with Him. We are to love and serve His people. We are to live for Him.

With the opening of our Sunday morning ministries there are many opportunities to serve and love on God’s people. There are many opportunities to get plugged in and spend more time in His word and with His people. There are many opportunities to give, grow and go for God. We are God’s people. It is time that we live like God’s people.
