Pray for your children

Pray for your children

This past week has been full of graduations, preschool and high school. Another reminder of how fast time keeps going by. Another reminder of how fast our children are growing up. Another reminder that it is never too early, or too late, to pray over our children. Philippians 4:6 is a good reminder to pray as well. It says, “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Purpose – Pray with a purpose. Prayer is not just something to check off a to-do list. It’s talking with God and building a relationship with Him.

Request – Make your requests known to God. Let Him hear your heart.

Always – Every day is a good day to pray. Our children are in constant need of our prayers, for their future, for their friendships and for their faith.

Yield – Yield to God’s will. God’s ways are higher than our ways, even when we think we know what’s best.

Expectantly – Pray knowing that God hears our prayers. He will answer.

Rejoice – Rejoice and praise God for He is good.
