There is so much craziness around us in this world. It’s hard to even watch the news some days. The evil out there is quite disturbing sometimes. Do you ever wonder, where is the good in the world? The answer is, God is the good in the world and He calls us to do the good in this world. Psalm 37:3 says, “Trust in the Lord and do what is good; dwell in the land and live securely.” That’s right, He calls us to trust Him and to do what is good. He calls us to love others. He calls us to forgive. He calls us to put others first. He calls us to live like Jesus.
It is easy to get caught up in our daily lives and get distracted from doing what God has called us to do. Satan doesn’t want us out there doing good and he is going to do everything he can to keep us from doing good to others. Some people can even make it hard to love them and forgive them, but we must love and forgive them anyways. Some days we are tired and overwhelmed and doing things for others is the last thing we want to do, but He stills calls us to trust Him and do what is good.
Just in case you need another reminder, Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” There is no need to overthink or overcomplicate these commands. Just trust God. Just love others. Just forgive others. Just do good.
