It’s Time

It’s Time

Do you remember the old commercial for Mervyn’s when everyone was waiting anxiously for them to open?  There was such joy and excitement when they finally did.  This is how I feel.  I, like many others, have been waiting anxiously for that joyous and exciting day when many of our ministries are open and available on campus live and in person.  Well guess what my friends?  IT’S TIME!!!!

Sunday, March 21st, we will be offering many of our ministries live and in person and we could not be more excited and joyful.  We want to invite you to this joyous grand opening of God’s family, reunited and back together again.  Things may look different than in the past but different is ok.  We are ready.  If you are like me, you look a little different anyways with what I call the Quarantine 15.  LOL

Our services will be at 9am and 11am. At 9am, we will be offering Preschool Classes, Kids’ Church, Club 56, Students, Young Adults and Worship. At 11am, we will be offering Preschool Classes, Kids’ Church, Children’s Special Needs Class, Adult Classes, CRC en Espanol and Worship. The important thing to remember is that we all need to register.  We will ask you to register all the people in your family so we can best prepare for them and keep everyone safe.  We will continue our enhanced cleaning practices as we strive to keep everyone healthy.

This opening of our ministries takes place one year after this global pandemic started shutting things down.  A whole year of planting seeds, loving our neighbors, worshiping King Jesus, and encouraging one another face to face changed drastically.  I find it very appropriate that we are returning to in-person ministries on the week of our anniversary of being on this ridge in Little Elm.  March 25th marks our 14th anniversary of being a light in the darkness, on this hill in Little Elm.  For those who love history, it also marks our 154-year anniversary of being a church body together.  Hallelujah!  Praise the Lord!

This size of an undertaking takes many volunteers and much planning.  If you are a member here and want to join us by serving alongside us, please let me know at sheila@crclife.org.  Friends, it is time.  Will you join me?  Let’s get up off our couches, dust off and put on real clothes.  It is time to gather together as God’s people!  I will see you on March 21st and I can hardly wait!

This psalm seems so very appropriate during this joyful time.

Psalm 100

“1 Let the whole earth shout triumphantly to the Lord!

2 Serve the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

3 Acknowledge that the Lord is God. He made us, and we are his—his people, the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and bless his name.

5 For the Lord is good, and his faithful love endures forever; his faithfulness, through all generations.”
