His Triumphal Entry

His Triumphal Entry

Matthew 21:9 says, “And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!’”

The crowds that went before Jesus shouted as He made His triumphal entry into Jerusalem. A triumphal entry worth celebrating.

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Accepting Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life is another triumphal entry worth celebrating. As we look forward to Holy Week, I want to encourage you to reflect on the day that you accepted Jesus into your life, the day of His triumphal entry into your life when eternity was changed forever. As we look forward to Good Friday, I want to encourage you to reflect on the cross and how it changes everything, knowing that Jesus died for you and your sins. As we look forward to Easter, I want to encourage you to reflect on the empty tomb and Jesus’ victory over death and how it gives us victory over death too.

As the Faith Builders in your home, I also want to encourage you to spend time with your family during Holy Week reflecting on all of this together. Share time as a family in the Bible, in prayer and in worship. Share with your children what the true meaning of Easter is and that Jesus is the best gift they could ever receive. How about you? Have you received this gift?

Please join us for our family Good Friday service, April 15th at 7:00pm in the sanctuary and for our Easter services on April 17th at 9:00am or 10:45am.
