Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

This is a week where pretty little cards, sometimes with candy attached, are being exchanged in classrooms, moms and dads are having date nights, and many children are waking to surprises expressing that they are loved.  It is the week of Valentine’s Day.  February is the month of love and Valentine’s Day is at the heart of it all (pun intended)! But what if you do not go to school?  Or what if you do not get pretty cards?  What if you are not married or whisked away on a romantic date? What if you do not get any chocolate or surprises?  I still say to you, Happy Valentine’s Day!

Jesus is the truest valentine there ever was or ever will be.  He came and loved each of us completely selflessly, whether we returned that love or did not.  He gave His life, by death on a cross, to bring us back to God.  He made a way for us to be friends with a perfect and holy God!  How much more loving can you get?  We love because He loved us first.  You are actually being offered the very best gift ever!  You are being offered forgiveness for every wrong you ever did or ever will commit.  You are being offered the gift of salvation and a relationship with the Creator of the universe.  You are being offered the gift of the Holy Spirit of God to live within you.  You are being offered the gift of eternal life in a beautiful place called heaven.  No one else has ever loved you so lavishly or in this manner.

This gift that is offered in love, by Jesus, is just that, a gift.  You my friend, must decide if you want to believe and accept this free gift from God.  It is not enough to know about this gift.  You accept this gift by faith in the finished work of Jesus.  Accepting this gift is accomplished through a prayer.  I would love to talk with you more or answer your questions about accepting this gift.  My door is open.  Call me or email me. Let us talk about how you can celebrate this Valentine’s Day as a child of the King, co-heirs with Jesus Himself!  I look forward to hearing from you: sheila@crclife.org or 972-292-1953 ext. 307.

John 3:16 says, “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”
