Do Not Be Afraid

Do Not Be Afraid

Recently our children learned from the book of Matthew about Jesus walking on water. They will hear about the wind and the waves of the sea. They will hear about the disciples being afraid. They will hear about Peter’s desire to walk on water and they will hear of Peter’s fear of the storm. They will hear of his cries for help from Jesus. They will also hear Matthew 14:27 that says, “Immediately Jesus spoke to them. ‘Have courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’”

What about you? Are you facing storms in your life that bring about fear? Does the role of mom or dad have you crying out to Jesus? Don’t worry, that Bible verse is for you too. Jesus wants you to have courage. Jesus is there for you. Jesus wants you to not be afraid. Being the Faith Builder in the home can be a daunting task, but it is oh so important. There is no need to try to do this on your own. There is no need for you to sink. Not only is Jesus with you every step of the way, your church family is here too. We are waiting for you and your family each Sunday. We are so happy we get to teach your children about Jesus. And, we are so excited that our Spring Semester will be starting back up next month. That’s right, on February 8th we will be gathering each Wednesday night (except Spring Break) at 7:00pm. There will be something for everyone in the family. So, mark your calendars because we can’t wait and we hope to see your whole family there.
