Do Good

Do Good

Raise your hand if Pastor Marc spoke straight to you this past Sunday. I know you can’t see me, but trust me, my hand is raised. God calls us to do good. Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.” Let’s be real though, doing good can be hard sometimes. We get tired, we get busy and we get distracted.

Pastor Marc shared three points about doing good. We need to remember that God is good, He is pleased with good and we are called to do good. It doesn’t matter that others don’t always do good or that the world doesn’t care about doing good. God calls us to do good. He sees us and rewards us when we follow through with what He calls us to do. Colossians 3:23-24 tells us, “Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.”

God is intentional. He has placed people around you so that you can do good. I want to encourage you to have your eyes open for opportunities to do good, opportunities to pray for and encourage others, opportunities to hold others up and love on them. Let’s not get tired of doing good. Let’s go out and make doing good a part of our daily lives.
