This month, our Dollar Day initiative was dedicated to blessing the residents of Lakeside Manor, a senior living community that caters to individuals aged 62 and above. It was a day filled with giving, coordination, and care as our church family came together to meet some of the practical needs of the Lakeside Manor residents.

Pastor Al took the lead in organizing this wonderful effort, ensuring that every detail was covered. We needed a variety of people to make it happen—those who could purchase supplies, people willing to pick up items, generous souls ready to donate, and teams to sort and deliver everything. Every person involved played a key role in making this initiative a success, and it’s heartwarming to reflect on how many hands made this work light.
Here’s a list of just some of the items we delivered, each one meant to help make life a little easier for the residents:
Household Essentials:

In addition to these much-needed supplies, we also provided some special items to enhance the community spaces at Lakeside Manor:

- A cutting board
- An electric tea kettle
Each item delivered was met with gratitude and appreciation from the Lakeside Manor residents and staff. These seemingly small contributions can make a huge difference in their daily lives, allowing them to experience a little more comfort and ease in their routines.
The highlight of this outreach wasn’t just the act of giving, but the opportunity to show love and care to a community that sometimes goes unnoticed. Through simple acts of service, we were able to reflect the love of Christ and share His heart with others. The residents, many of whom don’t have regular visitors or family nearby, expressed how much it meant to know that they were remembered and valued.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this month’s Dollar Day, whether through time, resources, or prayer. You have made a tangible difference in the lives of these seniors, and your generosity is a testament to the kindness and compassion that defines our church family. Let’s continue to carry this spirit of service forward as we look for more ways to bless others in the months to come!
What a great day it was to see the smiles, hear the laughter, and know that Lakeside Manor felt the love. Let’s keep Pastor Al and the Lakeside Manor community in our prayers as we continue to seek ways to serve our neighbors.
