Better Together

Better Together

“For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

Jeremiah 29:11

Merry Christmas! I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating the birth of Jesus. The new year is in sight. It’s almost time to flip that last page on the calendar. Before you say your goodbyes to 2020, I want to encourage you to look back on the past twelve months. Yes, I know it was 2020 and so many people are ready to put it behind them, but God has been with us this whole year. He has not been surprised by anything that has happened this year. God has been at work this whole time, even when we didn’t see Him or feel Him.

As you look ahead to 2021, see what has happened in 2020 that you can carry over to the new year. Have you spent more time with God? Eaten more meals together as a family? Read more books? Taken care of your health? Served others more? Before you start filling up the squares in your new planner, I want to challenge you to go ahead and surrender your new year to the Lord. I want to challenge you to keep your eyes open for what the Lord has planned for 2021 instead of what the world has planned.  Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”  God has plans for you and for your family in the new year. I am so excited for another year of worshipping and serving our Lord with you. Let’s go into another year together. Let’s push those sleeves up and see what kingdom work we can do together. I can’t wait to see what God has in store! How about you?
