Baskets to Baskets

March Dollar Days at LEFD

For Dollar Days this month, we filled baskets with dollars at the church and in turn filled much larger baskets with food and kitchen supplies to stock the pantries for all shifts at the three Little Elm fire stations.

This was the eleventh time we’ve blessed the LEFD, and each time they express their heartfelt gratitude for the gifts and for the banners and notes from our children’s ministry. We’re blessed to bless our firefighters, to pray for them, and to honor them for the important work they do in serving our community.

In many ways, our Dollar Days ministry is the epitome of CrossRidge’s commitment to Give, Grow, and Go. We give of our time and treasure. We go out to bless those in around us. And God provides the growth in our hearts to continue trusting Him as we walk in obedience to make Jesus famous.

What a gift it is to give.

Total giving this month was $1,009, which will ensure the LEFD pantries stay full for a while. The fire department received 18 laundry baskets with items they needed, including: peanut butter, crackers, pancake mix and syrup, tortilla chips, granola bars, oatmeal, honey, cooking spray, assorted snacking nuts, spaghetti sauce, cereal, olive oil, coffee, pasta, sandwich/storage/freezer bags, foil, plastic wrap, and parchment paper.
