At Crossridge Church, we’re serious about loving and serving our community, and our monthly Dollar Days ministry is the perfect opportunity to walk this out.
For the April Dollar Days event, we raised $1,106 to bless our neighbors here in Little Elm.
We wanted these funds to make a tangible impact in people’s lives, so we used the money to pay for lunches at three local restaurants: Sonic, KFC, and Joe’s Pizza. We gave the store managers the freedom to decide at random whom to bless with a free meal. (This included tips for the Sonic employees delivering the meals.)
Each store manager was also given a note to include for patrons whose lunches were paid for by Dollar Days. It’s been heartwarming to see the reactions of the patrons who received the surprise blessing. In total, 139 people had their lunches paid for, and we’ve received several emails from people who wanted to express their gratitude, including:

“Thank you for blessing me with lunch today at Joe’s Pizza. I walked in today and pleasantly surprised by your blessing. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. It was a beautiful act of kindness.” —Ron
“Mike at Joe’s Pizza was kind enough to inform me that your church bought my dinner last night. Thank you so much, that was very kind of you and unexpected.” —Kevin
Dollar Days is just one way of loving those around us. As we continue to serve our community, we hope our actions will reflect the love and grace of Jesus in all we do.
