My favorite Bible verse is Luke 12:7. It says, “Indeed, the hairs of your head are all counted. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” If you could see my bathroom floor, you would know that the number of hairs on my head changes daily. My mind is blown just thinking that God knows me that well, that He loves me that much, and He cares that deeply. He knows every detail about me and loves me lavishly anyway.
God is with me on the good days, and He is with me on the bad days. He is by my side through the easy, and He is right there through the hard. There is so much that goes on in this world that I do not understand, but I do know that God’s ways are bigger and better than I can imagine, and I know that He loves me.
Do you need that reminder today? What are you facing that has you feeling unloved? What challenges in parenting have you doubting yourself? What are you going through right now that is making you feel alone? God knows the very number of hairs on your head. You, too, are worth more than many sparrows.
