Did you say it’s summer time? There are a lot of cool things about summer time. Two things to get excited about this week are Father’s Day and VBS! Did you say VBS? That’s right, VBS will be coming to you this month. This summer, June 29-July 1, we’ll be using a quarantine-friendly VBS called BOLT. It requires minimal preparation, easy-to-follow instructions, and a video that leads you and your kids step-by-step through each of the 3 days. BOLT is designed for you to perform with your family at home. It’s so simple!
During BOLT, your family will participate in activities that illustrate what it means to listen to, focus on, and follow Jesus. Depending on your pace, you can expect that each day’s experience will last about an hour and a half. It’s great for the whole family!
We will also be having a drive-by Community Service Offering, benefiting the Little Elm Food Bank, each day from 4pm-7pm. Your children can drop off their peanut butter, jelly or cereal into the marked boxes. They can participate in the Boys vs. Girls Coin Contest by also dropping their coins into the Boys’ or Girls’ container during that same time. Coins count for good, Dollars take away! Winners will be announced in a special video announcement Thursday, July 2. Seeing you during these drop-off times would make my day!
