Happy Father’s Day!
Today we celebrate the Fathers in our lives. This is a chance to give the honor due them. Ephesians 6:23 says, “Honor your Father and Mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.” Webster’s states that honor is “high respect or great esteem”. Fathers are called to lovingly lead their families, as they follow Jesus. Fathers are to be the head of the household. They are to be the spiritual leaders, modeling what a life living for Jesus looks like. No, they are not perfect, but God’s word calls us to give them honor. May each Father feel honored today. We are so very thankful for each of you. Happy Father’s Day!
