FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN: PREPARING FOR LIVE CHURCH SERVICES ON JUNE 7TH
I am so excited that we will once again be able to meet in person. I am looking forward to worshiping our Father again in this manner. In an abundance of safety, we will begin with family worship. There will be no live classes for preschool, children or students in the beginning. Club 56 and Student Ministry will continue meeting for Bible study by Zoom with a new meeting time of 9am each Sunday.
We will be taking safety measures and precautions such as: encouraging social distancing, having extra hand sanitizing stations available, and striving for a touch-free experience. Masks are encouraged. Water fountains will be closed, and coffee will not be served for the time being. We will not be printing the sermon notes or children’s learning pages. These resources must be printed at home if desired. You will also need to sign up online for which service you would like to attend. When one service is full, you can pick one of the others. We plan to begin with three Sunday service times: 9am, 11am and 1pm.
We will continue to provide a link for parents to disciple their children and preschoolers each week. If you haven’t checked out this resource, you sign in once for complete access to everything you need for a special time of Bible study and worship with your children. There are activity pages, video clips and a coloring page each week.
As you prepare for Sunday in-person services, I want to encourage you to plan ahead to help your children have a successful morning. You might want to bring their tablet and headphones so they can experience their online lesson at the same time you are enjoying the pastor’s sermon. I will be including extra resources for you to print at home, ahead of time, for your child to use during the Sunday service if you desire. In striving towards a touch-free experience at church, you will need to bring pens, pencils and crayons or markers for your child if desired. Be sure to bring your own Bible too!
