Each year, one of our monthly Dollar Days is dedicated to filling backpacks for children in need within Little Elm ISD. Through the generosity of our community, donations, and contributions to Dollar Days, we were able to fill and deliver 82 backpacks this year. These backpacks were provided to students at the Little Elm ISD Back to School Bash, ensuring they have the supplies they need to start the school year strong.

We proudly packed and delivered:
- 42 backpacks for elementary school students,
- 23 backpacks for middle school students, and
- 22 backpacks for high school students.
These backpacks were filled with essential school supplies, tailored to the needs of each age group. For our elementary school students, each backpack included pencils, crayons, notebooks, and more. Middle schoolers received supplies such as pens, highlighters, and composition notebooks, while high school students were provided with similar essentials, designed to support their growing academic demands.

Here’s a quick breakdown of some of the total supplies we collected and packed into those backpacks:
- 6,840 pencils to make sure no student ever runs out mid-lesson.
- 1,044 colored pencils to spark creativity across all grade levels.
- 2,016 crayons for our youngest learners.
- 516 highlighters to help students stay organized and focused.
- 504 Sharpies for projects, assignments, and everything in between.
- 1584 Glue Sticks to keep things together
- 4,200 Quart Bags to organize everything
- 4,200 Gallon Bags for kids to put stuff in
We were also able to include items such as construction paper, erasers, folders, notebooks, scissors, and headphones, providing a comprehensive set of tools for students of all ages.
It’s an incredible feeling to know that these backpacks will help students show up to class prepared, confident, and ready to learn. Your contributions to Dollar Days make this possible, and we can’t thank you enough for your continued support. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of these students and their families.

As we look forward to next year, let’s continue to grow this effort and ensure that even more students can start their school year with the supplies they need. Thank you for being a part of this incredible initiative!
