Better Than Having Luck

Better Than Having Luck

We blinked and the month of March is here. What are you looking forward to this month? Is it St Patrick’s Day? Do you like to wear green and look for four leaf clovers? The world wants us to believe it is a day about luck, but as Christians we know we don’t need good luck because we have Jesus. James 1:17 tells us, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” We have a Heavenly Father that is good and does not waver from His goodness. That is way better than having luck.

There is temptation out in the world to find our own good, to find what makes us happy, but we know that all that is good comes from God. As the Faith Builder in our homes, we need to make sure our children know all of this too. We need to teach them that God doesn’t want us to be happy, but wants us to be holy instead. God doesn’t want us to be lucky, He wants us to look to Him for our blessings. We need them to know that things in life may change, but God never does. We need to teach our children that God gave us the best of the best when He gave us Jesus.

Fortunately we have the best opportunity this month to teach our children about God’s best gift as we celebrate Easter. We hope you will join us on Easter Sunday, March 31st, as we celebrate our risen Lord and Savior. What a way to end the month of March celebrating God’s perfect gift. We can’t wait to see you and your family and celebrate together, not just on Easter, but every Sunday.
