Celebrate Easter Every Day

Celebrate Easter Every Day

Easter is always such a wonderful day of celebrating Jesus’ resurrection, and this Easter was no different. The sanctuary was full, and the tomb was still empty. It was so good to be in God’s house with so many of God’s people. What about the Sunday after Easter or all the Sundays of the year? Are you still celebrating Easter? Jesus is still alive and that is worth celebrating every day! Are you living a life that reflects Easter, a life that reminds others that we serve a risen Savior? Are you running the race that God has laid before you?

Hebrews 12:1-3 says, “Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Easter Sunday is a good time to reflect on all that Jesus has done for us, but what do you do when the day is over and Monday rolls around? Are you still reflecting? Are you still remembering that God sent His only son to die for you or does the busyness of life blur your vision? I want to encourage you to keep celebrating. I want to encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus and remember why He came and why He died. I want to encourage you to celebrate Easter every day.

There are days when that can seem like a daunting task. There are days that are hard, and distractions come easy. Tests and trials come our way and celebrating is the last thing you feel like doing, but I hope you do it anyway. I hope you run your race with endurance. I hope you keep your eyes on Jesus and remember all He gave for you and then I hope you decide to give back to Him. I hope you come to church each Sunday. I hope you find a place to serve and love others. I hope you spend time with God daily. I hope you share Jesus every chance you get. I hope you teach your children to do the same.

I look forward to seeing you Sunday. I look forward to helping you get plugged in. I look forward to building God’s Kingdom with you. I look forward to celebrating Easter with you day after day after day.
