We invite you to not only join us in eating but also in competing. Several men have boasted they have the best brisket, ribs, and/or chicken and now it’s time to see who’s right. If you think you have what it takes to take home the top prize, then we want you to start preparing your team now. A panel of judges will be eating samples from each team to see who has the right to call themselves CRC BBQ Masters.
The food cooked by these potential CRC BBQ Masters will be shared with any who come. So even if you don’t enter the competition you are still welcome to c
Time
On Saturday, April 4th, we will begin dinner at 5:00 pm. Around 6 o’clock we will have horseshoes and washers/corn hole.
Competition
If you want to compete in this year’s Meat n’ Men cook-off then you need to do the following:
- Create a team of 4 or more people
- Prepare a minimum of 1 brisket, 2
rack of ribs, and chicken (whole or 2lbs) - Bring 2 sides (any 2 of the following)
- Cowboy beans, pinto beans, or green beans
- Potato salad
- Corn on the cob
- Coleslaw
- Register your Team Captain on our website
Judging
We will have a judging panel made up of 3 judges. Their names will be kept secret so there won’t be any unscrupulous intentions.
A sample of each of your meats will need to be delivered to the judges at 5:00 pm.
Awards
Judging results and awards will be announced and given out at the end of the evening.
