Usually, during this time of year, we gear up for the summer. We would have already placed orders, made reservations, contacted volunteers, setup training meetings, given out curriculum, started decorating and so much more. Unfortunately, we have not been able to do any of that this year. Because of COVID, we have had to make changes to our summer programs.
Summer Activities Canceled
As of now, all our normal summer activities are canceled. This includes:
- Crazy Summer Nights
- Vacation Bible School
- Mini Camp
- Preteen Camp
- Student Camp
I know canceling is not what everybody wanted. I wish we could still host the events and I know my kids do too. My kids always look forward to VBS, camps, CSN and everything in between. Since my family has been at CrossRidge, I don’t recall any of my kids missing any summer events. And let’s be honest, as parents we look forward to our kids being away for a week too for other reasons!
So What’s Next?
Currently, we are looking at alternatives we can do either here on campus, virtually or both. We don’t know exactly what that looks like but know we will continue to pursue all options. Once we work out the details we will let everyone know.
What About Refunds?
If you have already made a deposit on camp, you will be receiving a refund. You will be refunded through the same payment method you used to make the deposit. If you need to be refunded a different way, please contact the church office.
