I love this picture of a momma bird hiding and protecting her little ones. They have run to her and therefore are sheltered from harm. During this pandemic, it seemed completely appropriate to spend a month in Bible Study over Psalm 91. For those who choose to live under the protection of the Most High, huge blessings are provided. They then can abide in the shadow of God Almighty. He becomes their refuge and fortress against all that wages war against their minds, bodies and souls. Psalm 91:4 compares this dwelling place to being underneath the protective wings of a momma bird. You are safe, covered, near to the heart of God where He literally places Himself between you and danger. What a beautiful word picture of God’s protection and care for us. God is so faithful. His faithfulness actually becomes a shield for us; for those that choose to abide and remain in Him. I choose this safe place and would encourage you to live in this secret place too. There is no one like our God! Check out Psalm 91 today. You will be blessed.
