So what do you need to do…

1. Pray

Ask the Lord if He desires for you to be a part of this trip. The Lord will make it clear if you should be a part. If you are, then money, time off from work, and other possible issues will not be a factor, because God will take care of those if He has called you to be a part.

2. Sign up

As soon as you are certain that this trip is for you, click the link below to apply online, or you can pick up a registration packet, at the Communication desk on Sunday. The deadline to signup is March 7.

4. Begin raising your Support Team.

Once you have signed up for the mission trip, a Fundraising packet will be sent to you.  You may begin working through this packet as soon as you receive it to begin raising funds for your trip.  The first meeting we have as a team will be used to go in depth into fundraising and how to do it properly.

5. Get a Passport.

It’s never too early to get your passport. It generally takes 6 weeks to get your passport book, so go ahead and apply now in order to avoid additional fees. Passport information, including the application, can be found at the U.S. State Department’s website(travel.state.gov). If you are traveling ANYWHERE outside of the United States, you will need a passport book.

6. Be up to date on your vaccinations.

Immunizations are recommended for many of the countries to which we travel. Here are basic guidelines related to immunizations:

  • Check the CDC Travel website www.cdc.gov/travel for a complete list of recommended immunizations.
  • Call your personal physician or go to the health department for your immunizations.
  • Schedule your immunization appointments at least 4 to 6 weeks before travel. Some of the vaccinations require two injections before departure and several weeks apart. So it is best to get a jump on these.
  • The cost for immunizations varies according to each injection, from $10 to $100 for each immunization.
  • Immunization documentation along with copies of your passport and visa should be carried with you at all times as you travel.
